Top Price AU$353,110 at Westfalian Elite Auction

The three-year-old black stallion Status Symbol became the price highlight of the 2010 Westfalian Elite Auction in Germany over the weekend. The dressage prospect by Showmaker and from a Landro L mare sold for 250,000 euro (AU$353,110).

Fifty sport horses were sold to achieve an average price of 27,410 euro (AU$38,709).

The second most expensive horse was the four-year-old mare Sissy von der Heide (Sandro Hit x Fidermark x Weltmeyer), the bay mare selling for 110,000 euro (AU$155,430) while the four-year-old stallion Eure Exzellenz (Ehrentusch x Ferragamo x Florestan) reached 65,000 euro (AU$91,809).

The most expensive pony was the bay Champagner de Luxe (Champion de Luxe x Golden Dancer x Conquistador). The three-year-old entire fetched 35,000 euro (AU$49,436).

The best selling broodmare was Liza Minelli (Laudabilis x Davignon I x Werther). In foal to Florestan, the six-year-old mare sold for 11,500 euro (AU$16,241).
