Townsville Properties Clear of Hendra Virus

Biosecurity Queensland has completed further Hendra virus testing on animals at two properties in Townsville and results have come back negative.
The properties remain under quarantine and a final round of testing will be conducted in February.
Hendra virus is a notifiable disease. If you suspect Hendra virus, please contact Biosecurity Queensland immediately on 13 25 23 or the Emergency Disease Watch Hotline on 1800 675 888.
