Noble Monarch’s Dressage Journey

Noble Monarch (aka Moni) was broken in at age four, by the Australian Grand Prix Dressage Riders and Trainers Blas Lago and Daniella Vasella. Noble Monarch’s journey in Australian Dressage then commenced.  He was successfully campaigned by Sue Walker (of Young NSW) and competed at both NSW State and the National Dressage Championships. Sue and Noble Monarch won Silver Medals from the NSW Dressage Council.  Sue continued to ride and train Moni, winning at Medium Level Dressage, and rounding her achievements off, at the Royal Canberra Show of 2012 by winning all three entered events.  Read more about Noble Monarch's successes.

Sue then handed the ride to Blas Lago so he could continue to train this very talented, strong Stallion toward FEI.  Blas took on the ride just after the tragic loss of his Australian Grand Prix Dressage horse Northern Hector.  Blas and Noble Monarch won the 5A, 5B and 5C Advanced Tests in 2012 and were ready for FEI.  In early 2013, after his horrifying car accident, Blas asked Daniella Dierks to take on the ride and to aim for Grand Prix!  Blas believes  in Moni and could see the potential of this very quiet and talented Trakehner Stallion and he continues to assist in the training of Noble Monarch.

Daniella, Noble Monarch and Blas are a formidable Team – the combined talent of rider, trainers and horse are a winning combination.  Noble Monarch is very lucky to have such accomplished riders looking after his welfare.

Noble Monarch and Daniella Dierks have just competed in their second Prix St George competition, winning third place with an outstanding score of 68%. They are now about to commence Inter 1 in early June 2013 and have their sights set on Grand Prix.  Blas Lago considers Daniella and Noble Monarch one of Australia’s up and coming combinations  in Dressage.

Noble Monarch is a beautiful representative of the Australian bred Trakehner Warmblood - his elegance, beauty, floating cadence of movement and trainability are a credit to Australian Warmblood Breeding – AWHA & TA.

Kingston Park Warmblood Stud are concentrating on Noble Monarch’s Dressage career – but three lucky mare owners, have outstanding foals on the ground from his first Stud Season.
