Bob is sensible, genuine, reliable & full of character. A much-loved local favourite, he has the temperament, education & exposure that make him a truly special performance partner.

Race name: Bageel , although racing wasn’t his thing, only 5 starts after beginning as a 5-year-old.

Bob has been carefully produced over the last few years & has competed successfully in 95cm Eventing, Novice dressage (training Elementary) & 1m SJ. Training confidently over 1 & 2 star xc fences & is ready to step up to 1 star with the right rider. Eventing is definitely his favourite job.

He’s had extensive exposure & takes busy competition environments in his stride. Bob is comfortable at pony club, EA events, clinics, weekend competitions, tied to the float all day, or in a yard, trail riding, the beach, water, traffic, dogs, machinery. Great to float, good for farrier, dental, clipping, worming.

He has an amazing temperament & work ethic, so easy to have around. Under saddle, he is safe, honest & willing. He has had complete beginners ride him without issue, but he is best suited to a capable rider with a good seat & steady hand, as he appreciates a balanced & confident rider.

Good to ride after a spell, but he is happiest when he is in regular work. He is an excellent doer, needing only one small hard feed a day for nutrition. He has great feet, shod in front for last 8 months but could return to barefoot.

This is a very hard sale of a much-loved horse. We are looking for a kind, knowledgeable home where Bob will be regularly ridden, coached & appreciated. Ideally, he would suit someone wanting a genuine eventing partner who is already educated, experienced & ready to keep progressing.
