Gracefield Etched ‘N Gold’

Due to a combination of circumstances, we need to find the right home for him. We are open to reasonable offers and, most importantly, want the very best fit.

Gracefield Etched ‘N Gold’ is a beautiful buckskin Australian Riding Pony with a kind nature and plenty of personality. He has lovely movement and is an easy pony to have around.

Unfortunately, since purchasing him, we discovered he has previously suffered from laminitis and will require a knowledgeable home that understands ongoing management and feeding requirements. Recent x-rays are available and we are happy to discuss his current management in detail. He is in otherwise excellent health and has recently been tested for every single thing and he is in great shape.

He is excellent to rug, will meet you at the gate and is one of the easiest ponies to catch. He has great voice commands, is easy to saddle, picks up all four feet beautifully, loves being groomed and washed, and has no issues with fly spray. He is excellent for the farrier, travels well and enjoys being ridden bareback. He is currently ridden in a simple snaffle.

While he has many wonderful qualities, he is not suitable for a beginner rider. He can test an inexperienced rider and therefore requires a confident, knowledgeable and capable home. Due to time off and his recent history, he is currently fresh and will benefit from consistent work and handling. He spent 4 years in a riding school before us before it closed down and I have lots of references that can vouch for him from there.

We want to be completely transparent about his history and current needs. He is not being sold as a beginner “set and forget” pony. He will suit an experienced home looking for a quality pony with plenty of potential who understands laminitis management and can provide appropriate handling and ongoing education.
