Introduction: Bellara Park George is an exceptional 7-year-old Australian Warmblood gelding standing at 16.2hh, offering the complete package of blood, scope and temperament. By KS Capulet Ego Z (Carthago x Catherine Ego Z), George was purpose bred to jump, yet also boasts three beautiful paces and a naturally uphill frame. He is bold, athletic and genuine, and has the ability to progress into higher levels with the right rider.

Education, skills and experience: George has been professionally trained by Morris Eventing and Gemma Creighton-Buchanan and has been carefully produced with longevity in mind. He was started under saddle later to allow him to grow and mature and has since gained extensive competition exposure across showjumping, combined training, eventing, agricultural shows and jump club. He is currently in work, ridden three or more times per week and continues to progress confidently.

Dressage: George has three flowing, correct paces and is naturally uphill, making him very competitive in the dressage arena. He is currently training Preliminary and willingly collects, works softly into the bridle and is responsive to the aids.

Showjumping: Showjumping is George’s standout discipline. He is currently competing at 1.05–1.10m and training up to 1.15m. He is bold, careful and confident with fill, enjoys his job and tries his heart out in the ring.

Cross Country: George has schooled cross country to 95cm and has competed at EVA65. While he is still green in this phase, he has shown scope, bravery and ground covering paces. With further schooling, he would make an exciting eventing prospect.

General demeanor under saddle: George is willing, trainable and responsive. He is soft and light in the bridle, tolerant of rider mistakes and generally calm and reliable, though not completely unflappable. As a sensitive young Warmblood, he takes confidence from his rider and is best suited to someone who is encouraging and consistent rather than forceful.

Vices and quirks: George can be initially looky and horse shy in busy warm-up rings. After a few laps, he settles and focuses well. He is not explosive and does not behave dangerously. He is also a mild windsucker, easily managed with a collar or electric fencing. He has been scoped and is ulcer free. Please note that mild windsucking has been taken into account with his pricing.

Current workload/ fitness: George is currently in work and ridden three or more times per week. He is safe to hop straight on after a spell and does not require constant riding to remain reliable.

Handling and general behaviour: George is easy to handle and a pleasure to manage. He is easy to catch, leads calmly, ties up happily, loads easilly, travels well, is good for the vet and farrier, and is easy to wash. He is social and enjoys the company of other horses.

Feeding and management: George is fed a balanced diet including Copra, Breeda, lucerne chaff, Cen oil, mineral mix and hay, with access to pasture. His management is flexible — he can live in a herd, on his own with company in sight, or be stabled in a busy environment.

Medical history: George has small scars and underwent a successful distal check ligament desmotomy as a foal, with no ongoing issues. He is ulcer free. He is up to date with vaccinations (Hendra, November 2025), dental (November 2025) and farrier work. Vet checks are welcome.

Tack and gear: Ridden in a universal bit for XC and some showjumping, and a snaffle for flatwork and trail riding.

Rider Suitability: Capable Rider defined as someone with at least five years of riding and competition experience. George would suit:

  • A competent junior (15 with leg and strength)

  • A young rider (18–24)

  • An experienced amateur adult rider

  • Professional rider

Regular professional instruction is recommended with any young horse.

Reason for sale: Junior rider has lost interest in competing and is currently injured. This is no fault of the horse.

Ideal home: A serious competition home looking to produce a quality young Warmblood through the grades, with a rider who will continue his development and enjoy his talent.
