Look at me, Freisian x TB mare, Twin Rivers Mischka (17/11/2012).

"Squishy" is barefoot, easy to handle, (bodywork, Vet, farrier, taking out to events, ties up happily while waiting between activities etc, floating etc) loves human attention and loves learning new things.

Squishy is the ideal partner to start a liberty learning journey from entry level groundwork on up, responds to voice commands, very competent in basic ground work leg yields etc, has dabbled in liberty and natural horsemanship activities. If I had my wish for her, it would be a Liberty forever home. With stage presence and keen mind she follows body and sign language with determination to please.

Squishy is exceptionally safe and brave on trails especially if she can stride out on the buckle from the front. Nervous horses calm when alongside or following.

Recently Squish completed a 3.5hr difficult terrain, forest ride remaining calm as others melted around her.

While she can feel ‘strong’ this is her forward nature. Sit deep, use your voice, body and move with her.

If you drop your phone or jacket, no problem, just dismount, gather and find a boulder, stump or fence post to remount.

Absolutely no nasty anywhere in her personality.

Squishy has competed low level dressage with competitive scores/results in strong fields. She could pursue this again with an intermediate level rider if they are prepared to spend time with a coach experienced working with Friesians.

Our training moved away from this over the past 12 months enjoying the opportunity to begin bitless and bareback saddle pad riding. Squishy loves this approach to training as it allows her to connect, focus on rhythm and tempo. (I feel she would thrive in a more relaxed lifestyle, enjoying lessons, clinics, trails.)

Genuine reason for sale, will only be offered to the best of 4-ever homes where Squishy can bond with her new person and thrive. Squishy is located just outside Canberra.

Happy to discuss Squishy further with genuine enquiries. * If you cannot envisage a trip to the Canberra area to meet and ride her, please don't enquire for excess video etc.

Squishy (will not spook, buck, bolt, bite) however she does require someone who is nurturing, confident, and can ride with independent seat and hands, sound level of coordination and balance. She responds to weight transference, and does not enjoy hand/rein tension being used as a means of rider balancing. She is not suitable for jumping or eventing (age, weight, inexperience).
