Candy is a cracking sort with decent bone and nicely put together.

Candy prepped for racing never had a start, and has been mooching around not doing a great deal until, and having all the time to mature physically & mentally . His owners have sent him to us to give him some time and assessment and help him find a suitable home, ge has spent ten weeks he has really impressed us.

Candy is nice to ride with the basics established in the flat. Willing and tries hard to please. Good mouth. Great to do all things with on the ground, and good with other horses in the paddock.

Was excellent to bring back into work following a lengthy spell, and has been ridden by a variety of riders including young teens (13.)

Mel's favourite in the yard at the moment. Candy has three good paces, sits in the bridle well, picks up both canter leads and improves with every ride he has and is developing balance and softness.

An old fashioned style of thoroughbred who is extremely comfortable to ride, so comfortable that we have ridden him bareback!

We have hacked out Candy around the farm and up quiet roads, he has gone out with company as well as alone. He has been off property where he was exceptional and took role of “lead pony” showing the others how it was done.

Loads and travels well, walked home on loose rein, water, ditches, banks and small fences. We don’t feel he has ability to be a high level jumper however he is very willing.

Exposed to kids, dogs, bikes, cattle, farm machinery etc.

Will be very rewarding for someone looking for an unspoilt, well started, nice genuine horse to produce.

Could make a great PC/ HRCAV all rounder mount, event, may hunt.

Whilst sensible with a good brain he is still relatively green for his age so will benefit from a home that continues his education.

We don’t feel him suited to timid or novice riders.
