Introduction:
Cassage S, known as Viva, is a fabulous 16hh, 13yo Warmblood performance mare by Calgary GNZ out of Vis A Vis, by Copabella Visage. Located in Haigslea QLD and EA registered, Viva is a proven, competitive mare with results at 2* level eventing and the scope to be a very serious straight showjumping horse.

Produced to 3* level and 1.40m showjumping by her previous owner, and competed to 2* and 1.30m by her current owner, Viva offers an impressive combination of education, experience and talent. She is a much-loved member of the family and is only offered for sale due to her rider changing disciplines to straight dressage.

Education, skills and experience:
Viva has been brought on slowly and correctly, and is currently competing and placing at 2* level.

She is established on the flat and training Elementary dressage, with all laterals established. Viva produces calm, accurate tests and is a standout in the dressage phase.

In the showjumping, Viva is straightforward, bold, brave and careful. She has the breeding, scope and technique to jump at 1.40m level, and could comfortably step into straight showjumping at 1.20m–1.30m. She is responsive and adjustable when jumping, and is willing to take the occasional miss, sort herself out and carry on.

Cross country, Viva is calm in the start box, bold and honest across the course. She is not phased by water, ditches, skinnies, angle fences or fill, and is quick and clever with her feet.

General demeanour under saddle:
Viva is a compact, athletic and refined modern performance mare with balanced, elastic paces and a genuine attitude to her work.

She is willing, responsive, honest and aims to please. She is straightforward and trustworthy to ride, compete and take off the property, and she works well both on her own and in company.

Viva does not have any vices or quirks. She is generally non-reactive and unflappable unless something major happens and, even then, she is described as completely safe.

She does not require working down before an event or after a spell. She can be tail swishy for a few minutes after a spell, and when in season at competitions she can become hotter and need some working down, but remains very safe.

Viva is ridden in a snaffle on the flat and a Trust hackamore combination bit for jumping, as she can be fussy in the contact. She has a fitted saddle as she has a slightly sway-backed conformation. Her bits and saddle pad are included in the sale price.

Current workload / fitness:
Viva is in work three to five days per week.

She does not require regular work to remain safe and reliable.

Handling:
Viva loves people and is safe, well mannered and easy to manage. She is straightforward to lead, rug, tack up, wash, shoe, float and truck. She can have a bit of a play at catching time, but a treat and routine quickly solve this.

Viva is super easy to travel and take out. She also enjoys trail riding with the family, is good with dogs and copes well with the noise and activity of children around her.

Feeding and management:
Viva loves her food and is currently fed Studgro, Fibre Complete, Copra and hay.

Her stabling and paddocking management is entirely flexible.

Medical history:
Viva is sound and has successfully competed to 2* level for the last three years.

Vet checks are welcome at the buyer’s expense.

Rider Suitability:
Viva is best suited to a capable and confident junior, young rider or adult wanting a genuine upper-level eventing or straight showjumping mare.

She is safe and lovely, but she is also a sharp, athletic Warmblood performance horse with plenty of blood, which is part of what allows her to succeed at the higher levels of the sport. She would suit a rider who appreciates a brave, careful and competitive mare with the education, record and quality to keep performing.

For the right home, Viva offers a rare and valuable combination — proven eventing results, genuine showjumping scope, established flatwork, excellent exposure and a kind, much-loved nature.
