‘Spannerkop’ is a stunning 16hh, 13-year-old Warmblood mare by Baluga.

“Spanner” is a quality, competitive children’s horse with a kind nature and an impressive record across the showjumping arena. She has competed successfully up to 120cm and has been a consistent and successful mount in children’s classes over recent years, with many placings and results to her name. She has also proudly competed at National Interschools three years in a row.

Well known on the circuit, Spanner has won many garlands, rugs, and ribbons throughout her career and is a mare that consistently performs and stands out in the ring.

Naturally quick against the clock and very genuine to a fence, Spanner loves her job and is a fun, competitive ride for a capable rider wanting to be in the ribbons.

On the flat, she is beautifully educated with a soft, balanced way of going and established basics, making her a lovely all-rounder. She is careful, honest, and experienced, with the ability to help her rider build confidence and stay competitive.

At competitions, Spanner can be a little more forward and “on the job,” so she is best suited to a competent junior rider rather than a beginner or first horse.

On the ground, she is easy in every way, catch, shoe, float, clip, and is a pleasure to have around the stable. She has a kind temperament and enjoys attention and fuss.
