Introduction:

Fancy is a compact, athletic warmblood mare with proven experience and results. Sensitive and careful in the ring, Fancy is an educated, careful and competitive partner for the right rider.

Education, skills and experience:

Fancy is well educated with an established level of flatwork, currently competing successfully to 1.20–1.25m in showjumping. She goes lightly and happily in a snaffle and is well versed in the basics, with good manners and exposure to busy environments.

General demeanour under saddle:

Under saddle, Fancy is forward, sharp and responsive, offering a quality feel for a rider with an independent seat. She thrives with a clear, confident connection and consistent riding.

Current workload / fitness:

Fancy is in regular work 5 days per week and is currently competing.

Handling: On the ground Fancy is straightforward and polite: easy to catch, lead, tie, clip and wash; good for the farrier and vet; and she self-loads, travels quietly and unloads calmly. She is unbothered by dogs, livestock, farm machinery, busy roads, fireworks and general kid noise in her vicinity.

Feeding and management:

Fancy does best with consistency and regular work. She is currently on two hard feeds per day with lucerne, and can be managed stabled 12 hours/paddocked 12 hours or kept in a paddock on her own as required.

Medical history:

Medical history: Fancy's hocks and stifles were X-rayed approximately two years ago and were 'clean'. Like any 13 year old performance horse, she does have some medical history which is fully disclosed in her Owner's Response Document - however, this does not affect performance.

Fancy has successfully and uneventfully produced a lovely foal, which was retained by the owners and has gone on to be another successful showjumper.

Fancy is up to date with vaccinations and dental. Vet checks welcomed at the buyer’s expense.

Rider Suitability:

Fancy suits a capable, confident rider who is already competing 1.00-1.10. The rider will be someone who enjoys a forward, sensitive mare and wants to compete to a maximum of 1.25m. She benefits from a rider who rides consistently 4 times per week, communicates clearly, and builds a strong partnership. An ambitious young rider (18 yo plus) with coaching support would be well placed.
