Silvervale Fern (registered WPCS, AFWHS eligible) is a striking and athletic young mare by Callara Cosmos (50% Welsh D / 50% Friesian), out of an Australian Stock Horse dam.

Standing at 15hh (unofficial), Fern is a beautiful mare with real presence. She combines expressive movement suited to dressage with a naturally powerful jump, making her a versatile prospect for a variety of disciplines.

Fern is affectionate, curious and people-oriented – an “in-your-pocket” type who enjoys attention and interaction. She is easy to catch, trim, rug and groom, and loads and travels well (straight and angle). She has excellent feet (barefoot), a thick mane and tail, and is an easy keeper. Up to date with teeth, Hendra and 2-in-1 vaccinations.

She has been regularly ridden by both a capable 14-year-old and an adult rider, and has attended outings including dressage days, Freshman’s, jump club (x-rails to 60cm, with plenty scope for moving up the heights in time), clinics, and off-property lessons. She has also been trail ridden through bush and farmland. Fern is generally calm and well-mannered, though as a young horse she can have the occasional “baby moment” in busy or unfamiliar environments.

Fern presents as a quality young mare with a bright future for a knowledgeable rider to continue her education.

Due to her age and stage of training, Fern is not suited to beginners or children and requires a confident, capable rider and handler with young horse experience.
