Due to her owner not being able to keep her anymore, she finds herself looking for a new home.
Annie is a lovely little mare who adores attention and enjoys being around people.
She has experience primarily in flatwork, some pole and cavaletti work, lessons, shows, and trail riding.
During her time here with us, Annie has been a valuable part of my riding school and lesson programs. She has been ridden on trails, bare back, over obstacles, and has participated in some gymkhana-style activities.
Annie has been ridden by riders of all levels - beginners on a led line, riders in controlled lesson environments, and more competent riders out and about. She has movement that feels like a much bigger horse and would excel in show or dressage disciplines, while also being a comfortable and enjoyable ride.
She has a soft snaffle mouth and is generally more woah than go. Annie has been ridden after a considerable spell and remained well behaved under saddle, though like any horse, she will benefit from regular, consistent work.
She has no known vices. At times she can be a little stubborn, occasionally stopping and needing encouragement to move forward. She has pig-rooted twice when first coming back into work but has not done it since. She has never bucked, kicked, bitten, reared or bolted. She is dominant toward other horses at feed time.
Annie does have itch, which will need ongoing management or relocation away from the coast. She has no known health or soundness issues. She does have a scar on her back leg from an old injury, which has not been observed to affect her in any way.
She is up to date with teeth, feet, and worming.
Vet checks are welcome at the purchaser’s expense.
