Introducing Hanley Park Polly Waffle, affectionately known as Polly, a 12.3hh rising 9 year old Welsh Pony mare located in Jilliby, Central Coast NSW.

Polly is a talented and eye catching show hunter with experience competing at multiple Royal Shows, as well as attending Pony Club, arena hires, Interschools and outings. She is a pleasure to have on the ground, easy to catch, stands tied, has excellent manners, and loves being groomed and pampered. She is happy being paddocked alone or with other horses.

Polly is well educated and capable, however she does have established quirks and is not suitable for beginners or novice riders. She would be best suited to a confident, experienced teen or small adult rider who can ride with consistency and clear boundaries. With a less experienced or unconfident rider, these quirks can become more noticeable.

That said, Polly has been ridden by children under 10 years old and was an absolute angel under supervision, further showing her genuine temperament and kind nature. She has had regular work put into her over the past few months and has shown improvement in her education and consistency when ridden correctly. I truly believe this pony will become something unbeatable in the right home.

I purchased Polly as a fun project to step into the show world, however after bringing her home it became clear she has some gaps in her education that require time and consistent work. As I head into Year 11, I unfortunately will not have the time she needs to reach her full potential. When ridden correctly, Polly really shines and shows her best work particularly in environments such as Royals, Nationals and Interschools.

Polly can occasionally get a little hot at outings, however with some hand walking and food she settles quickly and self regulates well.

She is sound, has had no injuries during my ownership or to my knowledge with previous owners, and is up to date with teeth, feet and worming. Vet checks are welcome at the buyers expense.

The reason for sale is purely that I am an eventer, and although Polly has been a fun change, we do not quite click as a team. She deserves a rider who can give her the time, consistency and education she needs. This pony will not go to just anyone, she is a beautiful girl with so much to offer in the right home.
