Introduction: Ari is an absolute dream to ride and handle! She is talented, careful and has outstanding movement. This sale presents a fabulous opportunity for someone to purchase a well bred, well educated mare who will suit a range of riders across a range of disciplines.
From her breeders - Kentaur Ariel is a superb investment for an ambitious rider. Correct in type with a fantastic, sweet personality and trainability to match. She is a manageable powerhouse suitable for both amateurs and professionals.
Bloodlines: Ari is undoubtedly exceptionally well bred, being sired Absolute Ego Z - an exciting stallion by Air Jordan Z and out of a Lux Z/Calvin Z mare. Bred in purple, this stallion offers commercial up-to-date bloodlines. Strong Argentinus attributes are being passed onto his progeny. His unlimited scope and rideability make this a particularly desirable combination.
Ari is out of Kentaur Pina Colada - an exciting mare by Pico Bello and out of Belcam Aida. She is showing a lot of promise in the jumping ring with a super back end and unlimited scope.
Conformation: Ari is a wonderful example of the modern performance horse - compact, athletic and refined. Her paces display elasticity, power and activity.
Education, riding and experience: Ari would be competent to compete at novice level dressage and produce a lovely dressage test. She has automatic flying changes and laterals established. This also makes her rideable, adjustable and competitive on course!
Ari is competitive, quick and rideable around the course. She is the quintessential ‘careful’ horse that will do anything to keep the rails up but doesn’t like to be missed in a competition environment and may stop in that scenario.
Ari is a dream to take out, show, attend clinics, trail ride and ride around the farm. She is always safe with absolutely no dirt. Ari is currently in work 3 days a week.
Handling: Ari is patient and well mannered on the ground to rug, wash, shoe etc. She is great for the farrier and to clip. Ari is very easy to load, travel and unload - in either a float or truck. She loves cuddles and affection.
Behaviour: Ari is happy in big city and Royal Show environments. She travels well - loads and unloads without fuss and eats and drinks well when away from home.
Ari is sensible and reliable to ride and handle. She does not have any vices under-saddle or on the ground. Ari may turn her head to look at something loud - like side show alley - but she is not spooky.
Feeding and management: Ari is fed a simple diet - hay - and when in work, a small am and pm feed. She is currently paddocked full time. Ari is happy to be stabled at competitions and is happy in a herd environment or on her own with a horse in sight.
Medical history: Ari does not have any medical issues. She has ‘clean’ xrays and vet check, from April 2025, available to view by serious potential purchasers.
Rider Suitability: Ari would suit - and be an asset to - any rider from a ‘novice under instruction’ through to a competitive and capable rider.
Given Ari’s propensity to stop when missed, we will not sell her to a novice rider to showjump. She would, however, be very suitable to showjump with a confident rider who has a good eye.
Reason for sale: Ari is very sadly for sale due to the purchase of a very brave, showjumping schoolmaster.
