Lady Emerald is a beautifully bred young Australian Warmblood filly with an exceptionally good mind and an extensive foundation for her age. What makes Lady particularly exciting isn't just her pedigree.

One of the things I particularly value about Lady is how naturally she takes new experiences. She will look, process what is happening and then get on with the job.

She doesn't need to be pushed through things, and she genuinely enjoys learning.

Lady has been handled regularly and has excellent foundations for a two-year-old.

She has been exposed to a wide variety of environments, surfaces, obstacles, distractions and everyday farm activity.

She has been:

• Walked along roads and trails

• Taken to shows and stabled away from home

• Regularly taken to local obstacle days

• Exposed to tyres, logs, bridges and seesaws

• Worked through milk-bottle-filled boxes

• Introduced to pool noodles, streamers, umbrellas and wagons

• Exposed to flags and sensory/noise work

• Worked around tractors, excavators, a posi-track and pumps

• Raised around chickens, dogs, mini donkeys, sheep and cattle

At obstacle days she has consistently shown a lovely willingness to investigate and have a go.

She has been given plenty of exposure without being overwhelmed, and has developed into a very confident and sensible young horse.

Lady is point-and-load and travels extremely well.

She has been floated regularly and is comfortable with the process.

She has also been taken away from home, stabled and exposed to different environments without fuss.

Lady has been thoughtfully educated from the ground up.

She understands yielding through her shoulders and hindquarters and responds well to voice commands on the lunge at:

Walk • Trot • Canter • Whoa

She has also been introduced to side reins and responds very well.

She is attentive without being tense and responsive without being sharp.

Lady is respectful of fencing and has been successfully kept in paddocks with hot tape, wire and solid fencing.

She is currently paddocked alone but has previously lived with other horses and has always been very easy-going. She is naturally low in the pecking order.

Lady has been introduced to saddle and bridle and has been brought along very slowly and carefully with her age firmly in mind.

She has a naturally balanced walk and trot and has been quiet and willing through her introduction to ridden work, with a light, responsive rein back.

We have deliberately kept her work to walk and trot at this stage.

At her age, our priority has been producing a confident, well-mannered young horse rather than putting mileage on her.

She has remained relaxed, attentive and willing throughout her introduction to ridden work.

Another quality I particularly love is how easily she picks things back up after time off.

She does not need to be constantly worked to remain sensible. Bring her back in after a break and she simply carries on from where she left off.

Lady Emerald is by Emerald van’t Ruytershof, one of the most successful international jumping stallions of his generation.

Emerald represented the Netherlands at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and competed successfully at the highest levels of international showjumping, including 1.60m CSI5* Grand Prix competition.

His career highlights include:

Emerald is by Diamant de Semilly, one of the most influential jumping sires in modern sport.

Diamant de Semilly himself competed at 1.60m and was part of the French team that won World Championship gold in 2002. He also won team silver at the 2003 European Championships.

His influence as a sire is equally significant, having ranked among the world's leading jumping sires.

Emerald's dam, Carthina Z, is by Carthago, the famous 1.60m performer and two-time Olympic competitor.

TRESAISON NUMERO UNO

Lady's dam, KM Llamrei, is a leopard Knabstrupper mare by Tresaison Numero Uno (IMP).

Tresaison Numero Uno was bred in the United Kingdom and imported to Australia. He brings substance, sport-horse type and a sensible temperament.

He was awarded Champion Foal at his KNN grading, receiving a 1st Premium score, and has breeding represented across both showjumping and dressage.

TALISMAN

Lady's second dam is Barrabadeen Liberty, a registered Holsteiner/Australian Warmblood mare bred by Barrabadeen Stud.

Her sire, Talisman, was one of the Foundation Sires of the Holsteiner Horse Association of Australia, having been imported from Germany in 1975.

Lady combines:
