Manetheren Arkenstone, affectionately known as “Jinx,” is a 13-year-old 16.3hh palomino Warmblood x Thoroughbred gelding located in Camden, NSW. He is EA registered and beautifully bred by Manetheren Aragorn out of Palace Charm. Jinx is a genuine, much-loved horse with a kind nature who enjoys being around people and other animals, and he is offered for sale to the very best of homes as his owner moves on to producing a young horse.
Education, Skills & Experience: Jinx is a well-educated horse with established flatwork including leg yields, shoulder-in and quality transitions, along with three balanced and comfortable paces.
He has extensive competition experience, competing successfully at agricultural shows, events at SIEC, showjumping days, dressage days and cross country clinics, and has also been exposed to pony club, eventing, horse trials, mustering and polocrosse with a previous owner. He has placed up to 1m with his current rider and previously competed to 120cm, and is currently training around 110cm at home. Jinx is confident on cross country and careful in the showjumping ring, making him a versatile and competitive mount.
Temperament & Rideability: Jinx is a willing, responsive and kind horse who always tries to please and look after his rider. He is very well mannered under saddle and adapts to the rider’s level, stepping up with more experienced riders while remaining tolerant of mistakes. He is responsive off the leg and very sensible. If something major happens, like a kangaroo jumping out in front of him, he may move slowly away from it. He has no vices at all - he does not spook, spin, bolt or rear. He is a safe, confidence-giving and enjoyable ride.
Rider Suitability: Jinx is best suited to an intermediate rider or above, defined as someone with at least three years of consistent riding and competition experience who has an independent seat and balanced position. He would suit a junior rider, young rider or amateur adult, as well as a mature rider looking for a quality, experienced horse. He is an excellent option for riders wanting a genuine schoolmaster type to progress in eventing or showjumping.
Handling & Ground Manners: Jinx is easy to handle and well mannered on the ground. He is easy to catch, leads calmly, ties up without fuss and is straightforward for clipping, washing, the farrier and the vet. He loads and travels well and is tolerant of handler mistakes, although due to his size he benefits from a confident handler. He is a kind, sensible horse to have around the stable or paddock and is easy to manage day to day.
Feeding & Management: Jinx performs best on a higher performance diet when in full work, although his energy levels are easily managed and he can be “fed down” to a simple hay or grass diet when not in heavy work. He can be kept in a herd or paddocked alone and adapts well to different management systems. He is happy to be stabled at competitions or for short periods but would not be suited to full-time stabling.
Veterinary & Care: Jinx does not have any issues that affect performance. His vaccinations are up to date as of September 2025, his dental was completed in September 2025 and he is currently shod. Past vet checks are available, and a vet check can be conducted at the buyer’s expense, with the owner open to negotiation should any unexpected findings arise.
Reason for Sale: Jinx is a much-loved member of the family and is only offered for sale as his owner is focusing on bringing on a young horse. This is not a decision made lightly, and finding the right home is the highest priority.
Summary: Jinx is a genuine, experienced and versatile performance horse with the ability to excel across eventing and showjumping while also being enjoyable for general riding and trail work. He would suit a rider looking for a safe, capable and competitive partner, whether that be a young rider wanting to step up the levels or an adult amateur seeking a quality allrounder. He is offered to a knowledgeable home that will value his temperament, experience and willingness, and provide him with an enjoyable life.
