Proven Young Rider to World Cup–level schoolmaster
Winner of Adelaide Royal Grand Prix
Ultimate horse to learn and progress on big tracks
Introduction: Oaks Constantino, affectionately known as ‘Stan’, is an exceptional 13-year-old Warmblood gelding with an outstanding record at the highest levels of Australian showjumping. He is the ultimate young rider and amateur horse, having taken his rider from Junior ranks all the way through to World Cup qualifiers. Stan is a rare opportunity to purchase a genuine, proven big-track schoolmaster with the scope, bravery and experience to teach a rider how to jump at the top level.
Education, skills and experience: Stan has a superior level of education and an extensive competition history, including consistent success in Young Rider classes and a recent Grand Prix win at Adelaide Royal. He has competed and placed at National level and is currently competing. He knows his job in the ring and is an incredibly safe and honest horse to jump big tracks on.
Showjumping: Showjumping is Stan’s specialty. He is forward, sharp, willing and responsive, with the experience and mindset required for top level competition. He is brave, careful and confident, and thrives in the competition environment.
General demeanor under saddle: Stan is very safe and honest in the ring and tolerant of rider mistakes when jumping. In training, he can be more particular — Stan is not a horse that enjoys being drilled or taking part in extended lessons. He performs best with smart, efficient training - gridwork and one or two quality rounds. His rider prefers to lunge him before classes rather than pre-ride, which helps him relax and focus going into competition.
Current workload/ fitness: Stan is currently in work, ridden three or more times per week, and requires regular riding (four or more times weekly) to remain reliable and competitive.
Handling and general behaviour: Stan is easy to manage and a pleasure on the ground. He is easy to catch, well mannered, calm to clip, wash and handle, ties up happily, loads and travels quietly, and is reliable for both vet and farrier. He is comfortable being stabled in busy environments and is unbothered by farm life, dogs, fireworks or machinery.
Feeding and management: Stan is fed Johnson’s alfalfa and Speedi-Beet. His management is straightforward and flexible — he can be stabled or paddocked as required.
Medical history: Stan has no past or present medical issues. He is up to date with vaccinations (January 2026), dental (June 2025), and farrier care. Past X-rays are available, and vet checks are welcome at the buyer’s expense.
Tack and gear: Stan is worked in a snaffle most of the time, with different bits used depending on the event or discipline.
Rider Suitability: Capable Rider defined as someone with at least five years of regular riding and competition experience. Stan would suit:
A Young Rider (18 )
An amateur adult rider wanting to step into big tracks
A professional rider
He requires a confident rider under regular professional instruction - a family and/ or coach who understands how to manage a performance horse.
Reason for sale: Very difficult and genuine sale as the rider is giving up riding and relocating to Perth.
Ideal home: A serious competition home with a rider wanting to learn how to jump bigger tracks on a safe, proven and honest Grand Prix horse.
