Costa is by Cera Cassiago, the internationally successful Cassini I × Carthago Z stallion who competed through 1.50m level and has established himself as a sire of quality jumping horses.

On the dam side, Costa is out of Koko Kahn, a Thoroughbred mare by Genghis Khan who was ridden by Australian Olympian Vicki Roycroft and has proven herself as an exceptional producer, with multiple offspring competing successfully at 1.30m level.

Costa himself is a lovely modern young horse with three quality paces, plenty of blood and athleticism, and an exceptionally exciting jump. He is careful and bold, with miles of scope and all the ingredients to develop into a serious showjumper or eventer.

He has been patiently and correctly produced, with his long-term future always the priority. He has attended multiple jumping shows, has cross-country schooled and is now ready to begin his competitive career with someone looking for a quality young horse where the hard groundwork has already been done.

We have deliberately allowed Costa the time to develop both physically and mentally rather than rushing him, and at this stage he continues to tick all the boxes we would want to see in a horse for the future.
