Quiet natured young QH gelding

Buddy is a 4-year-old (DOB 29/09/2021), approximately 15.1hh chestnut QH gelding by JVQ Grandiose out of Shez Soooo That.

Started correctly as a 3yo, Buddy has had extensive exposure to trail riding and obstacle work in-hand, long reining, and under saddle.

Buddy has a naturally quiet temperament and is very happy to cruise along on relaxed trail rides if that is what his rider enjoys. He is not hot or forward by nature, though he will willingly step up when asked and is developing lovely active paces as his education progresses.

He has been ridden by beginner riders and is comfortable working on a loose rein, while also showing the adaptability to work with more experienced riders who would like to further develop him into contact and continue his flatwork education.

Buddy is sensible and reliable to ride in a variety of weather conditions and environments. He has been well desensitised to farm machinery, dogs, children, flapping objects, noise, and colourful obstacles. He has also been working consistently over poles to improve his balance and strength. While still green in the arena due to his age, he is an honest and willing young horse with a great attitude toward learning.

On the ground, Buddy is easy to catch and will often meet you at the gate.

Buddy needs a capable handler with confidence on the ground. We are very happy to discuss his management in detail with genuine buyers.

Buddy is only available to an experienced horse-owner home. Rider ability itself does not need to be advanced, but he is not suitable for first-time horse owners or children.

With the right rider and education Buddy will excel in any discipline.
