Lockie is a beautiful and charming gelding with a heart of gold. He is admired for his soft flowing movement and his very handsome features.

He has proven to be super trainable and has been professionally established as a talented dressage performer achieving scores of 70 at Medium in official open competition at the age of 7 turning 8. Since then, Lockie has been consistently trained to PSG under the supervision of top Australian coaches. He has recently also started in the show ring with immediate success including winning Champion in his first led Hunter, First in his first ridden Hunter, and Reserve Champion in his first ridden Warmblood classes at the 2025 Queanbeyan Show. He would also make a lovely rider class mount.

Lockie has a calm and easy-going temperament with an exceptionally kind personality. He is a much-loved member of any stable and is easy to tie, shoe, float, take out, etc. No buck, bolt, rear, bite, kick. Due to these characteristics, he has been bred from, producing many beautiful off-spring under Carool Warmbloods before he was gelded.

Lockie is offered for sale, due only to ongoing limited time available from his rider and he is too exceptional to leave idle. He would be best suited as an amazing schoolmaster to an adult or young rider starting their official dressage journey, or Interschools, and progressing through up to FEI levels, and indeed for Showing.

Lockie had a check ligament injury in a fore limb in late 2023. Lockie was rested for a year and underwent 6 weeks of professional rehabilitation at Willinga Park to bring him safely back into work at the beginning of 2025. At no time at the start of rehabilitation, or throughout, did Lockie present as lame in successive lameness evaluations and scans. However, natural expected residual weakness from the injury makes us cautious for his welfare and Lockie is not being sold currently for intensive training required to progress and compete at FEI levels.
