Recently started under saddle, Cointreau has proven to be an absolute delight. She is forward and sensitive, but never naughty — the type who genuinely wants to work with you. Despite not being in consistent work lately, when ridden today she was already improving by the end, showing just how quick she is to learn. She has also done a little jumping and showed real interest and willingness.

She is exceptionally quiet, intelligent, and straightforward — no buck, no rear, and no lunging required, even after time off. Her lovely paces show balance, softness, and expression well beyond her age.

By the renowned Cognac Diamond and out of Fox Lucina (whose sire Monahan Quando Quando is a registered Connemara stallion known for free-jumping over 1.20 m), Cointreau carries both elegance and athleticism in her blood. With these lines, she shows every indication of developing into a versatile performance pony, equally suited to dressage, show jumping, or the show ring.

She is still developing her strength and frame and has been produced correctly and kindly — never forced into a head position. With time and continued correct work, she will develop beautiful self-carriage and presence.

A genuinely friendly, people-loving pony who will follow you around the paddock, she combines the very best of the GRP and Connemara temperaments — intelligent, willing, and kind. She is so loved that if she were just a little bigger, mum would be keeping her for herself.
