Registered Australian Riding Pony mare – sensitive, athletic, bold, and ready to continue her development.
Forward, willing, and best suited to a confident rider seeking a sensitive, tuned-in performance pony with genuine talent.
Daisy is a beautifully bred, athletic Australian Riding Pony showing excellent potential for dressage, pony club performance, working equitation, and all-round competition. Sensitive, forward, and highly trainable, she is best suited to a confident teen or small adult wanting a pony with feel, movement, and real upward potential.
She is NOT a beginner pony, but for the right rider she is a truly rewarding, talented partner with a bright future.
➤ BREEDING
Quality lines known for movement, presence, and rideability
Sire: Turberry Tom Kitten (Imp)
Dam: Mandiso Park Just Devine
➤ TRAINING & EDUCATION
Daisy has been thoughtfully started and is now developing a correct foundation. Recent work has focused on relaxation, rhythm, softness, and responsiveness.
Under saddle she is working on:
✅ Walk–trot–canter transitions
✅ Consistent rhythm and balance
✅ Stretching and early contact
✅ Early lateral work (leg-yielding, shoulder-in, haunches-in/renvers)
✅ Small confidence-building jumps (very willing, careful, and brave)
✅ Trail riding around paddocks and local bush tracks
She becomes softer and more relaxed the more she moves. A pony who settles into work beautifully once she is in a rhythm.
➤ GROUNDWORK & HANDLING
She has been extensively handled and is confident with varied groundwork tasks.
Daisy currently:
✅ Lunges (walk/trot/canter)
✅ Early work on double-lunges/long-reins
✅ Works over poles, obstacles, and environmental challenges
✅ Ground-ties and hard ties
✅ Leads quietly
✅ Floats well
✅ Worms, rugs, and hoses easily
✅ Stands for farrier and general handling
Is improving steadily with touch sensitivity. Now much softer and more trusting.
She thrives on obstacle work and problem-solving. This has been a huge part of her confidence development.
➤ TEMPERAMENT & SUITABILITY
Daisy is:
⭐ Forward, willing, and motivated to work
⭐ Sensitive and responsive to rider intention
⭐ Curious and brave in new environments
⭐ A thinker - she pauses, processes, then tries
⭐ Not spooky in a dangerous way (a quick look/spook then settles immediately)
⭐ Not herd-bound (leaves the herd easily, no separation issues)
⭐ Emotionally intelligent and bonds strongly with her person
⭐ Best for a rider with soft hands, good body control, and clear leadership
She is NOT:
❌ A beginner pony
❌ A kick-along type
❌ A suitable match for very young or nervous riders without strong supervision
She is IDEAL for:
✅ A confident teen wanting a competitive pony
✅ A rider wanting a sensitive, athletic project
✅ Someone who loves a forward, tuned-in pony with high potential
➤ KIDS & SUPERVISION
Daisy has been ridden by my supervised children (ages 6 and 8) at the walk and small trots. She is safe enough with supervision, but she is not ready to be a child’s independent pony.
She is:
● Happy to carry kids for obstacle play and small arena rides
● Accepts kids being lunged on her in W/T/C - stops immediately when they become unbalanced
● Loves trail walks with kids on her back
● Comfortable being led by kids on the ground under supervision
● Good with noise, movement, and new situations
But because she is forward and sensitive, she is not suitable for a true beginner child.
➤ HEALTH & MANAGEMENT
She is extremely sound, healthy, and easy to keep.
❌ No itch
❌ No laminitis history
❌ No hoof issues
❌ No metabolic issues
❌ No past injuries (in my care)
✅ Excellent feet
✅ Easy keeper (tends to stay on the rounder side if not in work)
✅ Lives happily in a mixed herd. No vices, no windsucking, no weaving, no cribbing.
➤ EXPOSURE & OUTINGS
Daisy has been taken out frequently.
She has been:
● On bush trails
● Walking out on roadsides
● To the beach (in-hand)
● Around machinery, children, dogs, and changing environments
● In the arena and round yard for consistent schooling
She travels well and settles quickly at new places.
My priority is finding Daisy a rider who will continue developing her correctly and bring out her potential. For the right, experienced person, I am open to discussing a lease arrangement instead of a sale.
This could be a great opportunity for a confident teen or small adult wanting to produce a talented pony without the upfront purchase.
Home, horsemanship, and the rider’s ability matter more to me than the transaction.
