Heartwood Tullamore Dew (Trix) is a beautiful 10-year-old, ½ Connemara × ½ Thoroughbred mare, standing at 14.3hh — the perfect height that so many riders are looking for!

She is registered with the Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society of Australia and is an exceptionally hard-to-find type in Australia.

Trix had a beautiful foal with us 10 months ago and is now progressively returning to work.

She is exactly the type of mare we look for in our riding school: beautiful, sensible, uncomplicated and versatile, with all the qualities we value in a good all-round riding horse.

About Trix :

* 10 years old
* 14.3hh
* ½ Connemara × ½ Thoroughbred
* Registered with the Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society of Australia
* Beautiful, eye-catching mare
* No dirt whatsoever
* Loves trail riding
* Enjoys flatwork
* Progressively returning to work after having her foal
* Jumping is not currently her strongest discipline, although we are continuing to work on it
* Paddocked with other horses; she is dominant within the herd but perfectly fine living with them

Queensland Itch -

Unfortunately, Trix suffers from Queensland itch, which is the reason we are looking for a new home for her.

She was born in Victoria and had no skin issues whatsoever there.

We are therefore looking for a family in a non-itchy climate, or an experienced home prepared to rug her appropriately and put the time and care into managing her condition and keeping her comfortable.

We would particularly love to see Trix go to a private property as a safe, genuine all-rounder, where she can be enjoyed for trail riding, flatwork and everyday riding.

A 14.3hh, 50/50 Connemara × Thoroughbred mare is incredibly hard to find in Australia, particularly with Trix’s beautiful looks and lovely temperament.
