Ariat is a kind, capable and versatile mare with experience across team sorting, Australian Stock Horse showing, open showing, sporting, extreme obstacle racing and challenges. Ariat isn’t just a pretty face — she’s a mare with experience to back it up, having accumulated $4,000 in lifetime earnings across her events!

She has even jumped cross rails and cross-country fences — all in a stock saddle, mind you! She has a very kind, easy-to-sit jump and is a willing mare with plenty of experience under her belt.

Alongside her ridden career, Ariat is a proven broodmare, having produced two lovely colts.

Owned by her current owner for the past eight years, Ariat has been a valued part of their breeding program and show team . She is now being offered for sale as her owners retain her progeny.

Ariat can form attachments to her paddock companions and is happiest with the company of other horses.

She is good to catch, saddle, worm, float (can paw on the float if alone), tie and handle for the vet.

A forward-moving, intelligent mare, Ariat would be best suited to a confident intermediate rider or above who appreciates a responsive horse with a willing attitude.

She would make a great all-rounder for someone looking for a versatile Stock Horse with a varied background and experience across multiple disciplines.

Ariat is currently back in work after having time off to raise her foals and is proving herself to be reliable and willing ONCE AGAIN as she returns to ridden life.
