Warmblood X - dressage/trail riding/pleasure

We have updated Will's ad below, as he has had a vet check which has shown that he has an OCD in his right rear hock. After speaking with the vet we have decided not to operate on it, as Will would hate the 8 weeks of box/yard rest and seeing he has never been lame under saddle or shown any lame signs in his nearly 9 years we have to decided the proposed approach would involve triamcinolone injections to manage inflamation and or IRAP. Surgery would give the ability to be a high proformance horse again, but maintaining will let him enjoy low level dressage and trail riding which he loves.

We have changed Will's value from $25,000 to $12,000 knowing that the perfect home we choose for him will involve the cost of injections twice a year moving forward and we will only choose a home that is prepared to do this as he is one special boy who melts everyones hearts.

Will (Silverdene Prince William) has been exposed to everything in his first 8 years, from dressage, show jumping,XC, the beach, low level competitions as a 5-6 yo and years of lessons before full time work kicked in for me after uni and time became restricted. The last 2.5 years due to time, Will has mainly done dressage & trail riding and in his one competition last year in Gr3 he won both dressage tests & overall champion.

As a 5 year old he did the 80cm at Werribee going clear XC and SJ (rider video below).

Will is a “you have to kick” kind of horse but can also add a little spunk at times when being pushed. Being such a big boy l will only consider a confident rider - although my mum can trail ride him on the buckle with ease and he is a gentleman on the ground.

He trail rides on his own and we quite often do the Red Hill trail with all the bike riders & prams going past - to the back roads of Bundalong with the sheep, cows & tractors.

From the farrier to the dentist, clipper & feeders, everyone loves him.

He is in full work and currently gets 4-5 days a week, normally including a bareback hack around the track on the weekend.

Selling Will is the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, we bred him, he is my bestest friend and heart horse, but unfortunately with work commitments even though he is getting ridden 5 days a week, I don’t get to spend enough quality time with him and he deserves a home and person that can give him all the time and scratches in the world. He truly is a girls best friend.

Will has never wanted for anything, always has a full belly and totally pampered.

I want to find that special person that will love him as much as my family & l do.
