My daughter is sadly outgrowing him, and we want to ensure his next home is the perfect match.

Link is a beautiful Riding Pony x Welsh who has been an incredible first pony. He’s good to catch, wash, trim (barefoot), float, lunge, tie up and handle, and he is up to date with the farrier, dentist and worming.

My daughter leads and handles him independently, and he has been patient and tolerant while she’s learned to ride, especially on the lunge and learning to steer at walk and trot.

He has on the odd occasion mildy spooked, though most of the time he is very sensible and doesn’t care about much.

Link is not a bombproof or “kick-along” pony. He is forward and responsive, but is quite and would suit:

• A confident child as a 2nd pony, or

• A first pony in a more experienced horse home. (He’s been a first pony for my daughter)

He may also suit a small adult for pony dressage, ARC or showing. He is educated to seat aids and goes best with a rider who has an independent seat and soft hands.

He previously trained Preliminary/Novice Dressage and has lovely movement. We have taken him to Pony Club (on lead line) and local beginner shows, where he behaved beautifully.

In previous homes he attended PC, dressage days, showing and freshman SJ. He has a neat little jump and enjoys himself once confident with his rider.

Link is happiest in consistent work but can also be pulled out of the paddock and ridden without fuss (just a bit brighter!).

When out at events or new busy environments, he can be forward to start, but he always settles well once working and focused.

Finding the right home is very important to us. We want someone who will love him and suit his nature. Interested people are welcome to come and meet Link more than once — the right match matters most. Happy to meet at pony club grounds etc

Comes with some gear (bridle), scoot boots and wardrobe of rugs
