Brunswick Valley Pony Club Gymkhana was held on 15 July 2012 and the wet weather conditions didn’t stop the gymkhana going ahead and competitors having a great day. Zone 15 riders from Grafton to Tweed heads attended the gymkhana. The program had flat riding, dressage, showjumping and sporting events.... Just days out from the start of the London Games, Shane Rose has received the devastating news that his second Olympic Games campaign has come to an end. Female riders have dominated the show jumping honours in the GCT Grand Prix of Chantilly for the past two years and the question is will they triumph again in 2012? A Rockhampton woman who received high level exposure to the potentially deadly Hendra virus has an anxious wait to find out if she has been infected. Queensland Health authorities say they may offer the woman an experimental treatment. Queensland's chief medical officer Dr Jeanette Young says the woman was one of three people exposed to the foal, which was on a property within five kilometres from a previous Hendra outbreak....

The NSW Reining Horse Association held their annual State Championship and Futurity Show on the 6-7 July 2012 at Horseworld Stadium, Maraylya. The show was a huge success with many competitors and spectators.
