Olympic Dressage is Next Up at Greenwich Park

After all the hustle, bustle and frantic excitement of Eventing over the last few days, it’s time to regain composure and settle down for the next equestrian discipline of the London 2012 Olympic Games at Greenwich Park. It was not the result the Aussie eventers were looking for after the loss of two horses on the cross country course yesterday saw the team finish today's showjumping round in sixth. Team Germany repeated their 2008 Olympic medal-winning performance when claiming Eventing team and individual gold at the London 2012 Olympic equestrian venue in Greenwich Park today. The London Olympic cross country claimed many victims, including our own Sam Griffiths and Clayton Fredericks, who both unfortunately had falls (see full report). Zara Phillips, however, attacked the course with gusto and went on to produce a beautifully ridden clear round within the time. Zara and High Kingdom were a pleasure to watch during their turn on the twisting and hilly course, then when they finished it was lovely to see that Zara could hardly contain her excitement!...
