The luck of the Irish may be about to change as they have the advantage of being drawn last to go in tomorrow’s third leg of the FEI Nations Cup™ 2012 at St Gallen, Switzerland. Their last-place finish in Rome (ITA) a week ago has plunged them to the bottom of the series leaderboard, but Chef d’Equipe, Robert Splaine, will be hoping to do something about that when tomorrow’s competition gets underway. ... The Bennison Adult Riding Club Inc was founded in 1990 by Cindy Barker and Julie Walsh. For the Financial Year commencing 1 November 1990 there were six financial riding members and one financial non-riding member. Since then the Bennison Adult Riding Club Inc, which is affiliated with The Horse Riding Club Association of Victoria has increased its membership from that to approximately 45 members with more interest shown for membership at every meeting. ... Biosecurity Queensland is managing two new Hendra virus cases - one near Rockhampton and the other near Ingham - after positive test results were received late last night. Queensland Chief Veterinary Officer Dr Rick Symons said a horse died on Saturday on a property near Rockhampton with test results confirming the horse had Hendra virus. There are other horses on the property - these animals will be assessed today....
