Andrew Nicholson and Caroline Powell staked clear Olympic claims, with both finishing in the top five at the Bramham International Horse Trials in the UK overnight. A lovely double clear by Nicholson and Nereo in the showjumping phase of the CIC3* just wasn’t quite enough to take victory. The combination finished on their dressage score of 42 and in second place, just 3.3 penalty points behind victor William Fox-Pitt on Neuf des Coeurs, who also won the CCI3* on Chilli Morning....

Tim Boland has taken charge of the 55th annual CCI3* Melbourne International Three Day Event at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre. Our sprinting queen, Black Caviar, arrived at Heathrow, London, just before 5pm (UK time) on Thursday after her 30-hour journey. Following stops in Singapore and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, Black Caviar landed at Britain's largest airport on board a Singapore Airlines cargo flight and wearing her specially-designed Lycra compression suit designed to promote blood-flow and muscle recovery....
