Australian Outback Spectacular on the Gold Coast has launched a new production celebrating Phar Lap and the spirit of the horse, so popular TV show 'Today' decided to investigate Australia's long love affair with the horse. Brett Parbery has just reported on his website, "It is with great sadness that we report that Carolyn Lieutenant's wonderful horse Victory Salute, aka Sam, has been laid to rest at our property in Penrose after his recent battle with laminitis. Our advice leads us to believe that the laminitis was caused by Cushings Disease, which was not detected during early testing and had progressed to a toxic point, therefore causing a severe bout of toxic laminitis."...
