It is with a heavy heart I have decided to sell my beautiful WB gelding Ranger.  He is every mothers dream horse for their child.  Such a dude and fantastic personality.  I have owned him for the last 5 years.  Prior to me he was owned/ridden by the breeders MacNamara's of SS Showjumping below Sydney. Purpose bred for showjumping with Vivant lines and like his brothers/sisters bred for their exceptional temperamant.

He is very chilled and easy to do anything with.  Comes running whenever he see's you, easy to catch, shoe, load, float, rug etc  He is a very affectionate horse who likes to be with you all the time. If he was allowed to I think he would live at the back door like a dog.  The only reason I am selling him is that the workload of 2 horses is wearing me down along with the constant wet weather on the northcoast. I have 2 beautiful,l well behaved, competitive horses but I want to half my workload and expenses, so one has to go up for sale.  I am also at the point that 1-2 rounds a day is now enough for me at a comp, I dont actually want to do 4 rounds a day anymore.

Ranger is a very competitive little horse with loads of experience 90cm - 105cm. There is way too many to list them all.  105cm is my happy competition height, but he has loads of scope and ability to compete in a bigger class.  He is ready to move up to 110/115cm at comps and training up to 120 at home/clinics.  This year compeition has been minimal, thanks to the weather cancelling almost all horse events on the north coast!!  Ranger is a very careful showjumper, rarely has a rail and rarely comes home without a ribbon.  A point and shoot kinda horse.

Loads of competition experience at both horse and ag shows over the last 5 years.  Has been to Caboolture WC show a couple of years ago where his highlight was 5th place in a feild of 70 riders at 105cm A2 round! He also did Tamworth last year (generally placing in top 3rd). Countless ribbons at local club shows and Glen Innes Spring Show. eg 2023 Glen Innes 3 day show: 1st in 95cm, 2nd in 1m and 3rd in 1m Grand Prix.  He went out a couple of weekends ago, to a local comp,  with very little prep thanks to the ongoing wet weather and came home with a 3rd and 4th.  He doesnt need a lot of work to take out and about.  He rides the same if he is in or out of work.

Ranger has a lovely bascule over a fence, making him clean and competitive. He always try's his heart out for you.  His only downfalls are his stable is messy and he is naturally a lazy horse.  His dream job would be to be a lead line pony!  But out in the ring he gets his job done and for something that can be lazy he is surprisingly fast, turns on a dime and jumps on an angle to easily put you in the placings. I ride him in a running gag, not because he is strong but he is built a little downhill so I find that helps to elevate him.  He is very responsive to hand and leg aids. He would suit an adult rider or a competitive child who want wants something safe to move up the heights.  Would also make a great PC or young rider horse.

Around home he is a pleasure to have. I am a one woman show, no groom so both my horses have to be well behaved and easy for me to manage at a comp on my own. He is a good dooer and eats everything provided. Well behaved for the farrier, I leave them in the stables and farrier does them solo when I'm at work.  Travels and loads in float well, he is used to being left at the float while I go out and compete my other horse. Has been ridden at the beach, on trails, in a group and out on his own. Anyone could jump on and ride him and he wouldnt mind, nervous or confident rider, he would just go around the same for every rider.

He does not go without at my house. Teeth done every 6 months, feet every 5 weeks and stabled at night when its wet.  I want him to find a 5 star home where he gets loads of love, attention and really well looked after. I am not in a rush to sell him, the home must be right.

We are 50mins south of Byron/Ballina airport or 1.5hrs south of Gold coast/coolangatta airport.  Please check logistics of coming to view him before enquiring and booking to view him. I have only had 1 person come to view him so far and the only reason they didnt purchse him was that their 10yo daughter was just a little small/short for him.

He will be competing most weekends at local spring shows so can be viewed out and about

Price not negotiable
