Introduction: Acacia Ridge Roxanne, affectionately known as Roxy, is a 7-year-old registered Warmblood mare by Heathmont Roulette. Standing approximately 15.1hh, this compact liver chestnut mare is athletic, naturally scopey and bred for performance. Roxy is carefully produced with a strong focus on confidence and longevity and presents as an exciting young prospect for showjumping and eventing.
Currently in full work and receiving weekly professional lessons, Roxy is confidently schooling 1m at home and shows all the attributes required to progress through the grades. She is quick thinking, honest and naturally careful with excellent technique over a fence.
Breeding & Registration: Roxy is a registered Warmblood mare by Heathmont Roulette and is sold with her registration papers. She offers quality Warmblood breeding in a compact, athletic package, making her a very appealing mount for a competitive rider wanting a manageable yet talented young horse.
Education, Skills & Experience: Roxy has an established level of education and is confidently working in all three paces. She is forward and responsive under saddle and willingly collects when ridden correctly. She has been carefully produced and is currently ridden by a 16-year-old rider.
She has attended multiple training days and has previously competed to EVA65 with her former owner in Victoria. She has also competed at pony club and adult rider club level. Roxy is confidently schooling 1m at home and continues to develop strength and rideability.
In addition to her jumping career, she has been trail ridden, lunged and exposed to a wide variety of environments. She is not concerned by children in her vicinity, dogs, livestock, tractors, motorbikes or busy roads. She has also swum in dams and rivers and handles varied environments sensibly.
Temperament & Rideability: Under saddle, Roxy is forward and sharp but also willing and responsive. She is generally calm and reliable, though she is not completely unflappable due to her age and stage of training. She puts genuine effort into her work and shows natural athleticism and scope over a fence.
If fresh, she may occasionally kick out during a canter transition. After a spell, she benefits from being lunged before riding and requires regular work, ideally four or more times per week, to remain consistent and reliable. With regular work, she is straightforward and focused.
Rider Suitability: Roxy is best suited to an intermediate rider at a minimum. This is defined as someone who has been riding and competing regularly for at least three years, has independent hands and a balanced position and is confident at all times.
She would suit a confident junior rider, young rider, amateur adult or mature rider who is calm and consistent. She thrives when she trusts her rider and, once that partnership is established, she will give her best in every situation. She would particularly suit a jump-focused home, as jumping is her favourite discipline.
Handling & Ground Manners: Roxy is easy to catch and well mannered on the ground. She leads calmly and willingly and self-loads or loads very easily into a float or truck. She stands quietly while travelling and unloads calmly.
She is easy to wash, reliable for the farrier and good for the vet. She has not been clipped. She is tolerant of handler mistakes and presents as a straightforward mare to manage. She can be kept in a herd or on her own, and her management is entirely flexible. In a herd situation, she sits in the middle of the pack and gets along well with others.
Feeding & Management: Roxy is currently fed Fibre Essentials with chaff twice daily. She has access to Rhodes hay 24/7 and is kept in a large grassy paddock with friends during the day before being placed into individual paddocks with hay overnight. She receives salt, magnesium, Hoof Xtra and Chaste Tree Berry as preventative supplements.
Veterinary & Care: Roxy is up to date with her tetanus and strangles vaccinations, last completed on 30/07/2025. Her dental was completed on 30/07/2025. She is currently barefoot and maintained on a regular farrier schedule. She has no current or past medical issues and requires no prescription medication. A vet check can be conducted at the buyer’s expense.
Reason for Sale: Roxy is offered for sale due to school commitments.
Ideal Home: Roxy is looking for a calm, consistent rider who will continue her education and enjoy producing her through the grades. Once she builds trust in her rider, she is incredibly willing and people-focused. She would excel in a showjumping or eventing home where her natural scope and athleticism can continue to develop.
She is a quality young Warmblood mare with the talent to progress and the temperament to form a genuine partnership with the right rider.
