Allegra RH is a quality, sensitive Warmblood mare with powerful, expressive movement and clear potential for dressage or showing with some jumping exposure. She is a talented mare with the presence and ability to be a rewarding project for the right capable rider. Allegra is best suited to an experienced home that understands sensitive performance horses and enjoys producing them correctly.

Education, skills and experience:

Allegra has basic education and has been off-property for lessons. With a past owner, she has attended an ODE and dressage days. With her current owned she has completed low-level jump schooling and flatwork.

General demeanour under saddle:

Under saddle, Allegra is a sensitive, athletic mare who can be looky and reactive in certain situations and benefits from a positive, forward ride. She takes time to settle into a consistent frame and contact and can be unwilling to go forward if not kept in front of the leg. She does not buck, bolt or rear. She does best when ridden consistently three to four times a week.

Current workload / fitness:

Allegra is in light work and ridden one to two times per week.

Handling:

On the ground, Allegra is safe, leads calmly and is easy to groom, saddle and handle. She can be a sensitive mare and may be startled by an abrupt, rough or nervous handler when catching, rugging, washing her or loading her. With a patient and confident handler she is confident and straightforward.

Feeding and management:

Allegra is a good doer and is currently on hay and grass, including oaten and lucerne. She has been kept both individually and in a herd, and she is happiest with another horse within sight. She goes best in a wide saddle.

Medical history:

Allegra does not have any issues that affect performance. She is currently shod in front. Allegra is described as a good keeper, she is not given any supplements or medication. Vet checks are welcome at the potential buyers expense.

Rider Suitability:

Allegra is best suited to an experienced, confident and capable rider who enjoys producing a sensitive, talented mare and can provide consistent work three to four times per week. She requires clear, positive riding and further professional training and is not suitable for a beginner or nervous rider.

Reason for sale:

Allegra is very sadly for sale due to the owner recently having a baby and not having the time or physical strength to provide the consistent work she needs. The owner believes Allegra will thrive with a capable, experienced rider.
