Athletic allrounder - Mr Personality!

Archie is a 2017 gelding by Gordon Park Timeless (RP x TB) out of a Welfenadel (WB) x TB mare.

Approx 16.1h, not officially measured.

Bred for show horse, Archie showed early athleticism lending him more towards active sports but is still handsome enough for showing.

Archie has competed successfully up to Eva95 eventing, 1.05mt showjumping and Novice dressage.

On the flat Archie has an impressive walk with his trot and canter improving as he matures and strengthens. Extended paces and lateral work are coming along nicely with the beginnings of counter canter and flying changes. Very rarely out of the top placings after dressage when eventing, and strong results at the recent WA state Dressage Championships.

He has shown good scope for showjumping and is brave with all fill and good in atmosphere, although he is easily distracted.

Archie can get quite strong cross country and gave himself a bit of a scare, so we downgraded back to EvA80 to rebuild confidence and he’s showing signs of being ready to go back up, finishing confidently on his dressage score at recent shows.

Archie thrives on consistency, routine and regular work and is a much happier, more settled horse when he has that structure.

Easy to catch and float, and travels and loads well on both straight or angle load floats.

He can be fussy for the farrier but just requires a little patience.

He is a dream to take out competing, will stand tied to the float all day without fuss. Loves camping and doesn’t mind not having other horses nearby.

Archie can be a sensitive soul and requires a patient, consistent, confident rider to bring out his best. He is an absolute character and has a lovely personality. He will be sorely missed, but the owner is getting out of horses.

He is in full work and will continue competing until sold.
