14-year-old Warmblood x Thoroughbred Gelding

Milo is an exceptionally handsome, athletic gelding with quality breeding, expressive movement and a beautiful way of going under saddle. When relaxed, he is light in the contact, balanced, comfortable to ride and has all the ingredients to make a very rewarding partner for the right person.

I purchased Milo as a 10-year-old and have invested four years in his education with several excellent trainers. I sold him last year, however the partnership wasn't successful and I made the decision to buy him back to ensure he had the opportunity to find the home he truly deserves.

Since returning, Milo has developed some challenging behaviours on the ground. He is an anxious, sensitive horse who can become defensive when he feels overwhelmed. He is not a horse suited to novice riders or handlers, and he requires someone experienced with sensitive, intelligent horses who understands that behaviour is communication rather than simply disobedience.

Milo has been thoroughly assessed by my veterinarian, who found him to be in excellent general health. Despite extensive work to understand and help him, I have come to the conclusion that he would be better suited to someone with the confidence, experience and interest in rehabilitating horses with complex behaviours.

Once ridden, Milo is often a completely different horse. He is athletic, expressive and naturally balanced, with lovely movement. Watching him move freely, it's easy to see the quality and potential he possesses.

This is not a distress sale.

I am prepared to be patient while waiting for the right person. I would much rather see Milo thrive with someone who appreciates his talent and is willing to invest in building his confidence than sell him quickly to the wrong home.
