Handsome Warmblood x

Prestigious Knight or Jed as he is more commonly known, is a handsome 13 year old WB x TB gelding. Standing at approx 16hh. He is a fully registered Australian warmblood.

Jed’s main focus has been dressage but he has also been exposed to obstacles, which he absolutely loved and went over everything with ease.

He has also been trail riding, on the water walker and to unofficial Dressage Comps.

He regularly attends ARC and to a dressage coach.

I have never jumped him, as I am too much of a sissy but think he would enjoy this in his next role.

Highlights

⭐️Great to catch, float, wash, tie up, work, trim and handle in all ways

⭐️ Good in groups or by himself.

⭐️ Good with farm machinery, motorbikes and kids.

⭐️ Up to date with worming, feet and teeth.

⭐️ Barefoot

⭐️ More ‘woah’ than go but has the movement if pushed/firmly asked. Will need a rider not afraid to kick or use the whip.

⭐️Comes to you in the paddock wanting pats and a treat.

Quirks/The truth

❌ Can be cold backed. I manage this by short lunging sessions before riding or lots of walk/halt transitions to loosen him up. None of this behaviour is dirty, he will give a ‘hump.’ With regular work this almost disappears and you can read him like a book.

❌Likes to play in water troughs/bath tubs. He does this on hot days to cool down. A funny quirk but a habit I cannot seem to break.

❌ Can be tense when going somewhere new. He will need his rider to provide guidance and encouragement. This normally only last the first 10-15 minutes but wouldn’t happen at all for a confident a rider who regularly competes.

Jed would suit an adult rider who likes to trail ride or do obstacles or is not looking to be competitive, currently. Or an advanced teen who has the time to put into him.

Jed is for sale due to my lack of time. He will only go to a loving family.
