RJ is a talented, flashy gelding with all the presence to stand out in any arena. Currently training Medium level dressage with established, clean changes, he is a consistent performer with a proven competition record.

Naturally uphill with expressive movement, easy collection and quality medium paces, RJ has all the ability to continue progressing through the levels with the right rider.

RJ is excellent to float, shoe and handle, and is a lovely horse to have around the stable. He has travelled extensively over the past five years, regularly competing at a wide range of venues, and is currently in full work.

RJ is being offered at a significantly reduced price for a horse of his quality, and it's important that prospective buyers understand why.

RJ is an exceptionally talented horse, but he is not straightforward. He is a powerful, sensitive horse with genuine anxiety, and when he becomes overwhelmed he can react unpredictably. He requires an experienced, confident rider who is prepared to invest the time to build a genuine partnership with him.

He is not a horse that will suit people wanting to come, jump on and immediately trial ride him. In fact, we don't believe that gives either RJ or the rider a fair opportunity. He needs time to become comfortable with new people and to develop trust before he shows the horse that we know he can be.

For someone who is patient, experienced and willing to put in the work to earn his confidence, RJ has an enormous amount to offer. Once he trusts his rider, he is incredibly rewarding, with quality movement, established training and the talent to continue progressing in dressage, jumping or eventing.

We are committed to finding RJ the right home rather than simply the quickest sale. His price reflects the time and understanding he requires, not his talent or ability.
