RegistrationsPurpose bred for Eventing Feldale Splendour is an extremely eye catching 16hh, 6yo chestnut warmblood/thoroughbred mare with a friendly, trainable mindset.
Full sister to two currently successful performance horses in Feldale Short Black, 3* eventer who’s being campaigned in WA by a young rider and
Feldale Skyfall, 1* eventer who’s now teaching a local junior to have fun in all three Olympic disciplines💕
Splendour is by Feldale Regardless R, from a Staccato/thoroughbred mare.
She has it all - good breeding, great personality, trainable temperament, and like her brothers, will be without a doubt talented in all 3 phases for Eventing!
Feldale Regardless R (now deceased) was very successfully campaigned up to the now 2* Eventing with numerous wins and placings all the way up the grades.
He also competed 1.20cm Show jumping and always placed in Advanced and Prix St. George Dressage competitions with scores of over 65% consistently.
Regardless R is fondly remembered… he loved going out to the many and varied competitions in which he showed off his beautiful “look at me” presence. Although a stallion, his particularly level-headed temperament was regularly demonstrated when, out and about, he stood for many hours tied to the side of the truck alongside his stable mates.
Regardless R has another talented offspring in Sandhills Bliss who competed successfully at 4* Eventing and 1.20m Show jumping with Tasmanian young rider Bethany Hirst.
Feldale Regardless R is by the amazing Grand Prix Dressage star, Regardez Moi (imp) campaigned by Heath Ryan.
Regardez Moi (now deceased) is still the most winning Grand Prix dressage stallion in Australian history with more than 40 Grand Prix wins. He won the Grand Prix Freestyle Grand Final at Equitana in three consecutive years and won the Grand Prix Freestyle at the Sydney CDI a record breaking 6 times. Notably, Regardez Moi is the only stallion in the world who competed at the top dressage levels alongside his own progeny who have also reached these levels, particularly Utopian Cardinal.
Regardez Moi was genetically way ahead of his time being by Rubinstein, a double cross of Angelo, backed up by Consul, Donnerhall, Pik Bube and Swazi.
Feldale Regardless R’s dam is by Grand Kavalier (imp), (now deceased) a jet-black Westphalian, 17.1hh with tremendous bone and elegance. Grand Kavalier comes from one of the world's most famous dressage families. His mother is a full sister to Rubinstein, ridden by Nicole Uphoff. His grandmother is the dam of Rembrandt and is a full sister to famous dressage horses Ahlerich and Amon. Through his sire Grundstein II, Grand Kavalier also possesses the brilliant jumping lines of Grande and Gotthard.
Splendour`s dam is by Staccato who is arguably the most successful sire of eventers currently standing in Australia. Staccato himself was ranked the No 1 Eventing stallion in the world for several years with wins at CIC4* level. Staccato also competed very successfully to Prix St George and Inter1 level dressage later in his career.
Staccato is the sire of Panamera and Sandhills Brillaire consecutive winners of Adelaide CCI4* in 2011 & 2012.
Staccato is by Salute who produced Grand Prix dressage horses, GV Stirling Stilton and Victory Salute as well as numerous 3* eventers.
Staccato is out of Smiler who was by Pacific Prince out of a King of Babylon mare. This classic Australian thoroughbred breeding has been responsible for many Advanced eventers and Grand Prix show jumpers.
Originally Splendour was retained with the intention of continuing these proven performance bloodlines but, due to change in circumstance, she is reluctantly for sale through absolutely no fault of hers!
Splendour was easily started under saddle a year ago taking on a whole new world of learning in her stride.
Recently she has come happily back into work lunging with the gear on in the yard and on the arena.
She is literally “chomping at the bit” to continue her training and thrive with a competitive junior/inter-schools or inexperienced older rider within any of the Olympic disciplines.
