Introduction:

Yirrkala Enzo is a well-bred, 9-year-old warmblood showjumper with competition experience to 1.15m and an established education. He is established on the flat, safe, scopey and talented. Enzo's sale offers a capable, confident rider the opportunity to enjoy his existing experience while continuing his development up the ranks. He is a much loved and very kind horse who is very reluctantly for sale and will only be sold to the right home.

Education, skills and experience:

Enzo was campaigned by Olivia Hamood as a 4-year-old and has since achieved placings to 1.10m, with competition starts to 1.15m. At home, he has confidently schooled around 1.25m courses and jumped individual fences to 1.45m.

On the flat, Enzo is well educated, light in the bridle and willing to come together. His experience extends beyond the showjumping arena, with exposure to trail riding, cross-country schooling and busy environments.

General demeanour under saddle:

Enzo responds and adapts to his rider. On the flat, he can be a little laid-back if allowed and benefits from a rider who keeps him engaged and working forward. He is generally calm and reliable.

When jumping, Enzo can become keen and he does have his own engine. Like most younger performance horses, he is confident if his rider is confident, and he does have some quirks but remains safe, reliable and straightforward at all times. Please see Owner's Response Certificate for full information.

Current workload / fitness:

Enzo is currently competing and is ridden three or more times per week. He is straightforward to get back on after a spell and does not require a lot of work to remain sensible.

Handling:

Enzo is easy to catch, leads politely and is well mannered to wash, clip and handle for the farrier and vet. He may be at bit 'in your face' because he is friendly and keen but he is always sensible and easy to manage. He self-loads, travels quietly and unloads calmly on a familiar float.

Feeding and management:

Enzo is a very good doer and is currently maintained on one small hard feed with hay. He is shod and receives supplements as a preventative measure only.

He is comfortable living in a stable or paddock and has coped with being stabled full-time in a busy environment. He can live alone or in a herd and enjoys having at a companion.

Medical history:

Enzo does not have any medical issues that affect his performance or soundness. He is up to date with dental and vaccines. A pre-purchase veterinary examination is welcome at the buyer’s expense.

Rider Suitability:

Enzo is best suited to a capable, confident junior, young rider or amateur with consistent professional instruction. He offers an opportunity for someone wanting to enjoy competing around 1.00–1.10m while continuing his training.

On the flat, he is described as straightforward for a confident and balanced novice to intermediate rider. Over fences, he requires a rider who confidently maintains the forward rhythm, rides positively to a distance and remains tactful with the contact.

Reason for sale:

Following a bad fall from another horse, the owner’s confidence has declined and the partnership with Enzo has not progressed as hoped. He is very much loved and is being offered for sale to find a suitable, confident rider who can enjoy his education and experience and continue his development up the ranks.
