Australian, Harley Brown, riding Cassiato won the $50,000 Grand Prix of Showpark, presented by The Grand Del Mar in California, USA last Sunday. This is a World Cup qualifying class and Harley was the only rider of the 21 starters to jump Anthony D'Ambrosio's course without fault. Things are looking promising for the Australian eventing team, who are leading after dressage at The Fidelity Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, with a total score of 157.9. New Zealand are close on their heels with a score of 165.4 and Japan is sitting third on 176.0. The Australian team members are Brook Staples, Catherine Burrell, Lucinda Fredericks and Bill Levett.
