WB/TB Showjumping or eventing mare - sale, lease

Due to a change in focus (equestrian and personal), my dear Josie is available for sale or long-term lease. Josie is a 16.2, 16-year-old WB/TB mare with very light miles under her belt. She is a confident and capable show jumper and with a competent rider has the potential to pop round 1.0m . Due to rider health and injury (not Josie related), in recent years she has hardly competed other than the odd local show (at 90cms) or jump club. She is in light work and ready to go out and compete. Safe and kind but also forward moving, Josie wouldn't be sold or leased to a beginner rider. She requires a soft hand and a little patience, and in return she will give you a ride that puts a smile on your face! Ideally, she will find a home with someone who is already confidently competing at 90cms .

Josie has evented in the past and if you are happy to put some work into her dressage, she could easily event again. Dressage is not her favorite past-time!

Josie is very loved but her rider simply doenst have the time to commit to this sweet girl. She is too good a horse to turn out and retire, hence looking for a long-term home for her where she can be cherished and enjoyed. She is lovely on a trail ride, easy to take out and safe as houses to handle. I would consider a range of options (part-lease, full lease or sale) for Josie - this isnt about money but about finding a loving and purposeful home for her.

Josie enjoys her work, loves jumping, and is easy to shoe, load, take out, and stays tied to the float / truck. She is not "marey" and if you have a bag of liquorice in hand, she will catch you in the paddock. (If you forget the liquorice, it might be a slightly longer conversation!).
