Yesterday the unbeatable pair, following wins on Friday and Saturday, finished the weekend with a win in the Pryde's EasiFeeds Grand Prix Special with a score of 71.08 ahead of New Zealand’s Louisa Hill and Bates Antonello (67.29) and Heath Ryan and Regardez Moi (64.92). ...

Early in the morning the indoor arena was used for the freestyle competitions. Music was pumping from the main arena and filtering over the surrounding parklands. Outdoor, some horse and riders were up for an early morning workout while others had a relaxed walk stopping for the occasional picking of grass. At 8.30 sharp, the first horses competing in the Medium tests entered the arenas. The Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia Medium 4B and 4C had 35 competitors each, all aiming for a personal best. Rachael Sanna wins GP CDI-W Olympic Qualifier - Bates Australian Dressage Championships

New Zealand and Australia contested the first leg of the Regional Olympic Qualifier for Dressage held Friday at the Australian Dressage Championships, Sydney International Equestrian Centre. Australia presented two riders with the remaining two to compete at the second leg of the qualifier in Ermelo (NED) 2 November. A South African team will also compete in Ermelo. New Zealand fielded their full team today in Sydney. Two of the three teams will qualify for the 2012 Games. ...

German riders dominated the line-up in Lyon, France today where Ulla Salzgeber and Herzruf’s Erbe won the second leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup™ Dressage 201l/2012 series ahead of two other former series double-champions. Salzgeber, who recorded back-to-back victories with the great Rusty in 2001 and 2002, pipped fellow-countrywoman Isabell Werth and the horse with which the latter recorded the second of her two successes in 2005 - Warum Nicht - while Monica Theodorescu, champion in 1992 and 1993, steered Whisper into third place. ...

Final Olympic Dressage Team Qualifier Begins on 28 October

The last Dressage team qualifying event for the London 2012 Olympic Games will begin this Friday, 28 October. The qualifier, which will be run at two separate venues, is open to teams from the FEI Olympic Groups F (Africa and Middle East) and G (South East Asia and Oceania). Due to quarantine restrictions, the qualifier will be held in two parts, one in each hemisphere, as riders and horses from Olympic Groups F and G are based in both Australasia and Europe. The first part will take place in Sydney (AUS) on 28 October; the second part will be held in Ermelo (NED) on 2 November. ...
