Leanne Bartlett has been involved with horses her whole life, she started out showing Appaloosas as a youth and has progressed from there to achieve success across all the western performance events. Based at Canungra in South East Qld, Leanne has trained and competed successfully with Appaloosas, Paints and Quarter Horses at State and National level in all western events, as well as coaching riders and conducting clinics. A Coffs Harbour mare, named Harriet, got into strife yesterday when she decided to take a short cut across a creek on a Bonville property. The distressed horse became stuck in mud and weeds and couldn't get out on her own. Luckily the Coffs Harbour State Emergency Service crews, who had received training for such situations, came to her rescue and were able to pull Harriet out of the deep pond. ...
