Great natured mare by the beautiful stallion Calgary GNZ, born Nov 2014 (rising 10). Well educated with plenty of competition experience.
Zoe is a pleasure to ride, has well established flatwork, schooling all laterals, counter canter, walk-canter transitions. She keeps a lovely soft contact, is very trainable and a real trier who wants to please. She is easy to handle, catch, shoe, truck, worm etc. She has a great temperament, is not a hot mare and can jump straight on her after a spell (we don't need to lunge her before riding). We use her to stand with the young horses in the tie ups to help keep them settled.
Plenty of competition experience, primarily showjumping but also some dressage/eventing starts. Competed regularly from 1.10m to 1.15m/1.20m. Very honest and brave jumper who keeps a regular rythmn, doesn't worry about fill and always leaves the ground even with an ordinary distance. Limited dressage starts but with scores over 70% and extremely complimentary comments from judges. We feel she has the right attitude and ability to excel in this discipline.
We have limited opportunity for trail rides but she has always been sensible and good to take out when we were able to.
She does call out if her friends are taken away and she is left at the truck/paddock alone. However, she is not distracted in the ring and has also been taken out alone in the past. She is heavy winded (confirmed via scope) hence her price is significantly reduced for a horse of her education and experience. She continues to work well in her training sessions and is still showjumping competitively but is no longer able to event (even though she was showing a lot of talent for this).
Zoe would suit a variety of riders. She would be very competitive (and alot of fun) in the dressage ring. She would also suit interschools, combined training or lower level show jumping. Her temperament and breeding also make her a broodmare option.
