Introduction: Equus Hooroo/ Mini is a delight to ride, handle and compete. Mini was bred by the Brown family before being produced to 120 level by Emma Isbister and Coco Miles. Mini was then purchased for her owner when she was just 13 years old. She has excelled and progressed beautifully in the role of ‘juniors’ schoolmaster for the last five years. 

With Mini’s owner commencing year 12, and scaling back her riding, this sale presents a wonderful opportunity for another young rider to learn from and succeed with such a wonderful mare.

Bloodlines: Mini was undoubtedly bred in the purple being sired by Higgins out of a mare by Calvaro Z.

Higgins is ever popular in both eventing and show jumping breeding programs. His progeny exhibit the quality, athleticism and temperament, characteristic of Higgins himself.

Higgins sire, Heraldik XX is one of those rare stallions who has had offspring compete at the highest levels in all three disciplines.  At the WEG in 2010 Heraldik had three offspring in eventing, and one each in show jumping and dressage. The countless numbers of internationally successful offspring has brought Heraldik XX to the top of the WBFSH Sires Rankings, for event horses, for many years.

Higgins dam line is For Pleasure, Grunstein and Arsenik, are all producers of international competition horses.  

Mini is out of Cooee Z by Calvaro Z. He was the World’s Top Sire Ranking for 10 years. He transmits strength, a good natural aptitude, and a powerful canter. Calvaro Z won a Silver Team Medal and 8th placed individual at the European Championship in Manheim, W.E.G in Rome; 4th by team at the European championships in Hickstead, finalist in Sydney Olympic Games. He is a prolific producer of 5* showjumpers, including Corelli de Mies CSI5* with Edwina Tops Alexander.

Conformation: Mini is a wonderful example of the modern performance horse - compact, athletic and refined. Her paces display elasticity, power and activity.

Education, riding and experience: Mini is well established on the flat and would be competent to compete at novice level dressage. She has automatic flying changes, established leg yields, shoulder ins, travers, turn on forehand, and counter canter. This makes her rideable, adjustable and competitive on course.

Mini is competing 110 to 120  with 125/ 130 jump offs. She is training 125/130. Mini previously competed up to 130 with an experienced senior rider. Mini is currently in 3rd place on the Junior and Young Rider Leaderboard in WA.

Mini is honest, trustworthy, brave and is very careful around the course. She has schooled cross country and is super bold. Mini loves swimming at the beach and hanging out with ‘her person’.

Mini is a true ‘junior’s schoolmaster’ - tolerant of rider mistakes and always aiming to please. She does, however, enjoy her job and can get a bit spicy at the end of a round. In saying this, Mini is always 100% safe. Mini is currently in work and competing. 

Handling: Mini is patient and well mannered on the ground to rug, wash, shoe etc. She is great for the farrier and to clip. Mini is very easy to load, travel and unload - in either a float or truck. She loves cuddles and affection.
