Although mainly used for racing, Thoroughbreds are extremely versatile and are also used for showjumping, dressage, eventing, polo, pony club and many other horse pursuits and sports. They are often cross bred to enhance other breeds, which include Quarter Horses, Paint Horses, Appaloosas, Arabians, Warmbloods and Australian Stock Horses.
